The current Tasks snapshot labels Old Woods as Tier 2, after the opening Town, Farm, and Mall tier. The character directory places Tanner's Cabin on the right at the Old Woods entrance, which is a useful arrival landmark, but not a complete route from Town.

Several later tasks send the player there: The Local Joggers Club begins at the Old Woods campsite, and Adrian's Tree Branch Cleanup points into the area after Tentacle Cleanup and a follow-up letter.
Before searching for the entrance
- Finish the relevant Tier 1 tasks rather than assuming the route is open immediately.
- Read newly arrived letters and open the home journal; some long-term tasks use letters to advance.
- Check the active task text for Old Woods, Tree Branch Cleanup, or the Joggers Club.
- Use Tanner's Cabin as the confirmation that you reached the entrance.
Not confirmed yet: a current v1.0.0 capture showing the exact departure point, path turns, unlock flag, time restriction if any, and return route. This page does not give a tile-by-tile route or name the task that unlocks the area because no v1.0.0 capture reproduces it.
