Yes, romance and marriage are part of the released game's official description. Steam says players can befriend the townsfolk or marry one.

A developer-marked answer from February 2025 described a more specific plan: let players reach the end of a relationship tree with any character, then choose a romantic spouse outcome or a platonic roommate outcome. Because that answer predates 1.0 and explicitly warned implementation could change, it should be read as design intent, not a complete full-release mechanics guide.
Safe, spoiler-light approach
- Talk to the resident regularly and use the Social menu to observe friendship progress.
- Treat gifts and schedule notes as discovery aids, not guarantees that a character is marriage-eligible.
- Do not assume every named resident is a candidate until the full-release relationship endpoint is observed.
- Save before a major relationship choice if the game presents one; the sources we reviewed do not establish whether the final choice can be reversed.
The character directory lists where major residents can be found. It intentionally does not add a romanceable badge where the full-release evidence is missing.
Not confirmed yet: This page does not yet state the v1.0.0 candidate list, heart or event thresholds, the spouse-versus-roommate choice, missed-event behavior, or whether a final choice can be reversed, because a current save or a first-party guide is still needed to confirm them.
